Sunday, July 3 You will arrive in Washington, DC around lunchtime.  You'll have time
to get some lunch on your own before being treated to a tour of the city with an experienced local guide.  On the tour you will visit the Vietnam Wall, Lincoln Memorial, Korean Memorial and World War II Memorial as well as a photo stop at the Capitol Building and the White House.  After checking into the hotel at approximately 6pm you will be free for the night!  You might choose to visit Georgetown where you'll find restaurants, cafes and nightclubs a great place to people watch!  Or, stay around the hotel and enjoy a relaxing dinner with friends.
 
Monday, July 4 HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Meet your Cultural Hi-Ways tour manager in the hotel lobby this morning.  Board our bus and travel to the heart of DC - where all the holiday festivities take place.  You are free for the entire day to wander at your leisure and enjoy all the exciting happenings.  Check out the July 4th parade and the National Folk-life Festival with music, food and crafts from all of America's different cultures.
This evening, get your camera ready for the most amazing fireworks display over Washington, DC.  Where better to celebrate the nation's birthday than in the nation's capital?
 
Tuesday, July 5 This morning you will visit Arlington National Cemetery with your
tour manager (weather permitting).  Explore the burial place of President John F. Kennedy as well as the site of the Tomb of the Unknowns and Challenger Memorial.  You'll then depart Washington DC and arrive home late in the day.
